is to assist a client in transforming the dysfunctional effects of a negative
traumatic event to a level of healing through a technique of "de-sensitization".
A trained clinician utilizes a specified directive of client eye-movement
as a process of decreasing the traumatic impact of a crisis memory which
may be impairing a client's positive functioning.
