Lidkea, Stob, Venema and Associates was formed in 1979 as the first private practice counselling organization in the Niagara Region. For twenty years we have dedicated ourselves to providing ethical reliable and professional counselling to the people of Niagara. Relying almost exclusively on word of mouth publicity we have built a reputation of integrity and have steadily grown into a group of thirteen counsellors!

We originally formed to provide quality counselling to this community and we remain committed to this vision. The founders of the firm are still providing counselling daily and have not moved off into purely administrative positions. We are counsellors first and a business secondly. We believe this approach ensures our clients that their welfare remains our first focus.

As demand for our services grew, we responded by expanding the scope of our work and adding counsellors that agreed with our commitment to service. In 1981 we began work in the Employee Assistance Program field, again pioneering a new service in Niagara. Lidkea, Stob, Venema and Associates now conducts EAP's in areas of industry, education, government and business.

We also continue to provide our broad spectrum of counselling services to the community at large through self-referral and referrals from pastors, priests, family physicians, lawyers, friends and other community resources. We provide assistance in many areas including Family, Marriage and Individual Counselling, Adolescence, Dispute Resolution, Sexuality, Mediation and Assessment, Psychometric Testing, Group Work, Executive Coaching and Grief.
